Vehicle Warranties

All new vehicles come with a manufacturer's warranty, many consumers choose to purchase an extended service contract to cover the high costs of repairs beyond what the manufacturer is willing to risk.  Some vehicle service contracts will even cover more than what a factory's "Bumper to Bumper" will cover.

Consumers can purchase a vehicle extended service contract at any time, even after their original manufacturer's warranty has expired. They are especially convenient to add to your car loan for with small increase in payments.  However, purchasing a used vehicle service contract earlier the better due to increased premiums based on age and miles on the used vehicle.  Not all used vehicle service contracts cover the vehicle bumper-to-bumper, so it's important to understand what is and is not covered with your used vehicle service contract.  Always ask for the brochure.  Be sure to have your dealer identify between a list that shows what is covered and/or what is not covered.
